Je t’aime Paris

Paris, tu es si belle! After watching Emily in Paris, I was inspired to write this blog. This year 2020 has been by far the most difficult year in our lives. However, remembering happy times helps us heal our pain of not travelling much this year.

Anyways, travel helps to ease the pain and explore the unknown, feel limitless. This was probably the first photo I took in Paris with my Brazilian hostel-mate. Leandro was such a great pal, he even went ahead to teach me basic Portuguese as I had planned to visit Portugal, Spain and Italy the next year.

I guess it was the second day after having lunch at the Arabic restaurant in the neighbourhood, I took the train to go to the city as I was dying to see the famous EIFFEL TOWER! Anyways, off the topic, a lot of you back home ask me, how I get time to travel…well, I freelance, I blog, I write, do PR, social media, marketing, etc. and hence every six months, I get out of my comfort zone, routine and travel solo…there is no better pleasure in life than to see different countries, cultures, listen to different languages and know the world. I pity those, who sit 9-5 in a cubicle and don’t travel! Since, travelling for me is not just a hobby, but a way of living life by exploring places.

So, I sat on this train which stopped midway at some station and I had no clue how to reach Eiffel since all announcement was in French. Luckily, as I got down, I met this American traveller who was going there too, so we both went upstairs and took a bus. It was one of the best moments of my life, I had waited all these years to see the Eiffel and it was coming true finally.

The Eiffel unveiled itself in front of us like a charming Prince, with its magnificent glow. I have never been happier in my life, the moment was worth every year, every month, every week, every day, every hour, every minute I had spent to travel to Paris.

…we spent the evening there at Eiffel, I had crêpe and hot chocolate, made new friends, most of them from other parts of France or Europe. I spent a week in Paris, before flying off to Prague and every moment in Paris was romantic, the city is filled with sensuality, and French people are just born romantic I guess. The love and charisma of the city and its dwellers were magnifique.

Paris to me was one of the most romantic cities, I have ever travelled to, and hope one day I too like Emily will be able to delve deeper into the city and its lives, fall in love in Paris, with Paris. The language, the food, the people, the scent, the wine – everything about Paris is so enivrant. J’adore le Paris sensuel. The whole world is indeed a wonderful book, and those who do not travel read only one page! It is like a big family, the more we travel, the more we know our true selves since travelling makes us realize how big and beautiful the world is…
