Consul General of France speaks on women’s day
The Evening Sun collection by internationally acclaimed fashion designer Felix Bendish (who has dazzled the runways of Paris, London, Tokyo, Dubai, and Bombay) created a warm and colorful ambiance at the Bandra Gymkhana last Sunday at the occasion of Woman’s Day.

Ms. Sonia Barbry, Consul General of France in Bombay and Dr. Cheryl Misquitta, President of Bandra Gymkhana looked resplendent in creations by the designer. “The show went well as planned. I wanted to project this thematic presentation. The Counsel General of France in Bombay, Sonia Barbry wore my purple gown with a tie-dye stole. And Dr. Cheryl Misquitta graced my Indian pink one-shoulder drapery gown. The consul general’s presence was important as she did enlighten and spoke about her journey and work. Kudos to women empowerment,” revealed Felix Bendish.

Felix Bendish added, “The three most important women in my life that inspire me: my mother, my wife, and my daughter. My mom taught me to respect women, my wife is the pillar in my life and my daughter is my vision.” The collection promised a new day, a new life, a new vision.

“Felix’s show was beautiful. I am looking forward to seeing more of what he is doing. Today, I am wearing Felix’s design and it is beautiful. Purple is my favorite as it is also a very spiritual color. I also take inspiration from Chanel, she recreated fashion. I like Elle as it has more than just a fashion magazine, it’s a women’s magazine that deals with art, culture, music and anything that inspires women. And I want to tell Indian women that they have given me so much. I have been traveling to India for almost over 20 years, and I admire Indian women and they have so much to give to the world,” divulged Ms. Sonia Barbry, Consul General of France in Bombay.

Felix did invite Daulat Bi Khan (Founder of Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation). He wanted to feel their journey and connect with the audience. The Evening Sun is a tribute to the confident, independent woman who is proud of her femininity and strongly believes in gender equality.
